I made my third order with extrasweetbowtique, but these are my custom ordered bows, and she sent me a picture of them last night and I CANNOT STOP STARING AT THEM.

They’ll be here in a few days and I am literally dying I cannot WAIT.

About Me

I’m Caitlin, and I’m finally coming through the other side of my quarter-life crisis. I live in Florida with my spoiled little cats, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock IV and Astrid Cagney Hofferson. I had the privilege of working at the Great Movie Ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for four years and was part of the closing team, so you might have seen me as a tour guide, Mugsi Toccata, or Kate Durango. I’m now currently a guide at Kilimanjaro Safaris. When I’m not driving around in circles pointing at four different kinds of antelopes, I’m often found performing in local theatrical productions. or spending time with my giant boyfriend. Favorite things include the smell of dryer sheets, marathons of canceled TV shows, and rainy days (as long as I’m indoors at home).

My run in The Mystery of Edwin Drood ended yesterday. It was a challenging show for me and I learned so much- I got to sing a G5, high kick on a slope, and harmonize in a quartet, all while wearing a corset. I’m really going to miss the cast and all of our running gags the most I think though. At its best, you shouldn’t notice costumes. A good costume is cohesive with the set and works with the actor’s performance; at its worst a bad costume is distracting and draws you out of the story as an audience member, and hinders the performance for an actor. I was very, very blessed to work with a great director, an amazing production team, and a brilliant cast on this show, and I think everything worked out beautifully. But sometimes you do have that showstopper piece, that big moment when a costume is critical to a character’s growth and a moment in the story, and on opening night I got to hear the audience applaud for Elle’s pink proposal dress in act one and Emmett’s makeover in act two. And I cried both times. Of course, those moments would have never worked without Amanda, Lillie, Ethan, Corrinna, and the rest of the amazing cast, but this show is one that I feel honored to have been one small part of the team. #legallyblonde #ohmigodyouguys

I never thought I could find a show that would combine my comedy skills (the Orlando Sentinel did call me “comically delightful” once), my somewhat decent knack for accents, and my love for Victorian underwear, but here we are! Catch me as Florence “Flo” Gill, the sassiest chorus girl at the Music Hall Royal...who in turn plays a demure schoolgirl named Beatrice, a citizen of Cloisterham, and...a succubus. It’s a role originated by Donna Murphy, so no pressure, right?
