Oh and for the meme: D, H, W.

D: If you had the choice of going without writing forever or going without dinner forever, which one would you choose?

Oh gosh. No. You don’t understand. I love dinner. I love dinner so much. It’s the best meal of the day. But…I wouldn’t be able to function if I couldn’t write. And I could function without dinner. So…dinner. But I’d probably have to start eating mashed potatoes for breakfast.

H: How long have you been writing?

I’d say since I was about sevenish? I used to make up very elaborate setups when I played with my toys, and I remember when it got to the point that I started writing them down. My first story that I clearly remember was about a girl named Christina who was in a wheelchair and these two brothers named Michael and Matthew were in love with her…but I spent more time describing Christina’s clothes than writing an actual story. I just really loved the clothing descriptions in my American Girl catalogs, okay?

W: What’s your biggest pet peeve in writing?

In my own writing? Repetition. I don’t like using the same phrases over and over again, or starting sentences with the same word.

In other people’s writing- beyond the normal grammar, spelling, etc.- I hate it when there’s no depth of character or character integrity. You can give me the coolest plot ever but if I don’t give a shit about your characters then I’m not going to give a shit about the plot.

C: Where I would like to live

In a tidy, pretty little home with a husband who loves me and a cat to snuggle with me and babies to love on and a little garden where I can sit and read.

M: Random fact about me

I used to be able to recite the entire first chapter of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I still remember big chunks of it…

V: What my name means

My first and middle names together mean pure virginal beauty consecrated to God. How I remember that, I have no idea.

For that letters ask: SAR(A)-(R)EN(EE) (E)Li(SA)B(E)TH. For the repeat letters you can do ones of your choice if you want. I don’t actually know what questions these correspond too, I just wanted to spell my name.

S: What’s my ringtone?

At the moment, it’s the iPhone default, but the best ringtone I’ve ever had was the scene from Glee where Kurt throws up on Emma’s shoes. Like literally that was my ringtone.

A: Age?

27, and I’m in deep denial about it.

R: Last movie I watched?

Big Hero 6!

E: Religion?

Lapsed Protestant?

N: Favorite day of the year?

My birthday- Valentine’s Day!

L: Favorite band/singer?

Florence + the Machine is a love forever.

I: Eye color?

Bluish grayish greenish. With a bit of amber. Basically they’re just sort of puddles.

B: Where I’m from?

Born in Ohio, raised in Kentucky, moved to Tennessee, and now I’m in Florida.

T: Favorite male character from a TV show?

H: Favorite book?

I’m going to go with Little Women, because I can read that a million times in a row.

1 and 6 :)

#1: the meaning behind your URL

I took it from a deleted song from Frozen! The situation isn’t the same (I’m not a neglected spare heir to the throne) but I connected with the feeling of “no one ever thinks I’m good enough.” So I took my URL from my favorite “like a button, like a horseshoe, like a girl who’s bad at metaphors.” (Listen to the song, it’ll make sense.)

#6: favorite band

I don’t really have a favorite band? I like Florence + the Machine, Kate Nash, Marina and the Diamonds, Death Cab for Cutie, Ludo, Bowling for Soup, Hozier, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Katy Perry…it’s a weird mix.

Every 5th question :)

#1: What’s your middle name?

Elizabeth, which I vastly prefer to my first name. In all honesty, I would rather use Elizabeth as my first name, and then use Elsa or Elle as my nickname.

#5: What’s your favorite color?

Blush pink

#10: What shoe size are you?

Like a 6 and a half…but I can also wear kids’ shoes. It’s slightly embarrassing. But also cheaper.

#15: Favorite song?

It changes! But at the moment it’s “King of Anything” by Sara Bareilles. It’s a great car singalong song.

#20: Are you religious?

I used to be; now I consider myself a lapsed Protestant.

#25: What color socks are you wearing?

#30: How many pillows do you sleep with?

Just one.

#35: Have you ever tried archery?

One time I used a paintball slingshot and I stepped on a rusty nail and it was Christmas Eve and I cried because I thought I would have to go to the ER and ruin everyone’s Christmas.

#40: Have you ever had a secret admirer?

I did in the sixth grade, when I was at my worst ugly duckling stage. I was so excited. They left index card notes inside my books.

Turns out it was a classmate’s older sister who wanted to fuck with the loser in her brother’s class.

I cried for days.

#45: What is your favorite accent?

To listen to? Irish and Scottish accents. To do myself? Southern. I have an amazing southern accent. I even did a whole show like that once.

#50: Left or right handed?

#55: Most used phrase?

“For reals!!!!!!!!”

#60: Do you talk to yourself?

Dear god, yes. All the time.

#65: Best dramatic movie you’ve seen?

Pan’s Labyrinth

#70: Have you ever been scuba diving?

Nope, and I would be terrible at it. I don’t swim so much as I flounder.

#75: Have you ever started a rumor?

When I was in kindergarten I told everyone I was a tap dancer. And also that I was a mermaid on the weekends. BUT ONLY WEEKENDS THAT’S WHY YOU CAN’T SEE MY FINS.

#80: How many piercings do you have?

I got my ears pierced when I was fourteen. But I accidentally fucked them up (that’s a good story…) and I never wear earrings, so…I might as well have no piercings.

#85: What color are your eyes?

Bluish grayish goldish nonsense.

#90: What makes you angry?

#95: What are your weaknesses?

#100: Color of your room?

White, blush pink, and gray

Six facts about my hometown

-I’ve lived in five different places.

-I was born in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, which I always joke sounds like something from Rocky and Bullwinkle.

-I moved to Lexington, Kentucky when I was three. It was an excellent place for a little girl with a horse obsession.

-I moved to Independence, Kentucky when I was almost fourteen. It is the land of road kill and we had to drive twenty minutes to get to a McDonalds.

-I moved to Nashville, Tennessee when I was seventeen. No, I do not like country music. Honestly, Nashville is more hipsters than country music. Seriously.

-I moved to Orlando, Florida last year. It is hot and there are alligators in the lake in my apartment complex. Reason #258 why Hiccup is not an outside cat.
